Theatre-Hikes 2013 Summer Auditions
The directors for "...Mark Twain...", "Passion of Dracula", and "Turn of the Screw" sit in on portions of auditions, but we will hold separate auditions in late June for those shows.
If you are auditioning for both shows (James and the Giant Peach AND The Three Musketeers) AND/OR just James and the Giant Peach, please prepare 1 contemporary, 1-minute monologue and a short piece of music. No more than 3 minutes total. We are looking for musical talent, so play an instrument you are strong in or sing your best a capella piece. There will not be accompaniment for vocalists, though you are welcome to accompany yourself. The play will have 3-6 of the 6 person cast playing instruments, depending on who the director casts and what they play.
If you are solely interested in The Three Musketeers, please prepare 2 monologues (1 contemporary and 1 classic) no more than 3 minutes total.
Bring at least 1 copy of your headshot or a photo representation of how you currently look, preferably 8”X10”.
Bring your acting resume or a list of your past acting experience.
A monitor will greet you at the door of 2215 S. Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL.
CAR: There may be free parking on Indiana Ave, 23rd and 24th streets and pay for parking on Michigan.
CTA: The space can be reached by the #3(Cermak & Mich, walk south to the first doors on your left),#29(2 block walk towards the lake), most Michigan busses and the Red Line to Cermak, then a short walk or take the Cermak bus East (towards the lake, McCormick Place/away from Chinatown).
