Thank you for volunteering to help with Uniform Fittings! This is a great place to serve the band and get to know some of its students and other parents. You DO NOT need to possess sewing skills to help!
For this week, all fittings take place Monday - Thursday from 1:00-4:00pm. Then of Friday, there will be group photos taken of the students in their uniforms! Also, on Friday, we will need to bag up pants to go home for sewing volunteers. Lots to do in one week...Whew!
There are four types of events to help with in Uniforms: 1. Uniform Fitting Week (Aug 2-6) in the afternoons between band practices; 2. Uniform prep work - hemming, pinning, cutting, numbers, putting pants in order, etc. - NO skills necessary, all are welcome; 3. Band performance distribution (before games/contests) and collection (after games/contests); and 4. Receiving, inventorying, storing clean uniforms from the dry cleaners (5-6 times - on selected Wednesday or Thursday mornings).
